This is my life. As I sit on a bus, staring out at the countryside, I’ve grown accustom to this situation. Many many times this year I have sat on a bus. Most landscapes in Europe are countryside; grass, crops, horses, cattle, and trees. Beautiful green countryside or wildflowers. What will happen at home when my landscape turns into traffic, houses, and strip malls? Europe is the land of rolling hills and ruins. We have seen many abandon buildings, castles overgrown by vegitation, and hundreds of years old houses. I always find myself saying nothing in America is this old. I live in a residential area that was farm land 30 years ago. The concept of abandon buildings is lost on me. Land is too important to let an abandon building sit. They knock it down and build something new.
O Europe, as I say goodbye in 2 weeks, I am impressed. I love your landscape. I love your history. I love your foods. It’s been real. Continent #3 here I come. I’ve always wanted to go to Africa!
