These past 2 weeks have been a-maz-ing. I am in constant awe of what the Lord can do!!
The support I've gotten from everyone around me is above and beyond what I expected. I'm preparing for a little concert/dinner at my church and I can't wait. I have friends that are willing to sing, a pianist who is willing to play and my family is willing to become servers for an evening. I just can't believe how the lord works that all these people would be willing to spend a sunday afternoon and evening to help. If you live somewhat close to Middletown and are interested, in coming, it's May 15th at 6. $10 a seat. We're going to have dinner and sing a little for you. My friends are REALLY good! I've really been praying for the lord to prepare my heart for this race. I don't know what he wants me to be ready for, but he knows. It's already becoming a practice in trusting the lord. I can't even begin to explain how the lord has changed my heart over the past couple weeks. I know now more than ever that the race is where I'm supposed to be! I keep going about my daily life and then realizing how different it is going to be next year. I'm trying to take advantage of the time with my friends and family now, as well as all the other little things we will all be leaving behind. However, there is so much more ahead! In Luke 9:23, Jesus said, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me”. While going on the World Race means leaving behing everyone I love, and everything I'm used to, it also means I have this awesome oppoertunity to not just walk, but run toward Jesus.
