This week I have a specific prayer request. My first fundraising deadline is $5,000 for this Friday, May 13. This $5,000 secures my spot on my team and on the route that launches in August. Currently, I’m half way there!
As my fundraising letters are making their way to mailboxes, please pray for the body of Christ to come together to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to the nations. Please pray for God to move in hearts to give to this cause, to further His name to the ends of the earth.
So often I try to do it all on my own, and I am constantly learning to lean into the promises of God and the Holy Spirit’s power to move. I am reminded that God doesn’t want us to be like well-oiled machines – self-reliant on our own resources, abilities and strategies with the Holy Spirit of God virtually absent from the picture.
Instead, He designed us to need Him, His deliverance, His power, and His spirit. He asks us to abandon ourselves and our own feeble effort, and trust in Him. Because when God sends His spirit, everything changes. It is more powerful and more beautiful than anything we could come up with on our own.
I am also reminded that God doesn’t want to share His glory. He doesn’t want this fundraising to ever be mistaken for my great work or great connections, but rather a complete testament of His power and holy work. As I am desperate for His power, I can’t wait for Him to show his provision in ways that display His greatness. And that is my prayer! For a lot less of me, and a lot more of Him.
Praise Jesus we serve a God who is faithful to provide! Please join me in prayer!

This helps me keep in touch with you personally while I’m overseas! I’m wanting my planner to be filled with names of family, friends & strangers as motivation to be a witness that day! Knowing that someone specifically financed that day for me will be such an incredible reminder of the support system I have here in the states.
