Meet my team, Consuming Fire! These are the 7 people I will be working with and living with 24/7 for at least the first couple of months of the Race. If you had asked me who my ideal team would have been at the beginning of training camp, I never would have put this group together. But after being teamed up, its easy to see that this is where we are all supposed to be!

So, without further ado… Team Consuming Fire:

(LtoR: Brian, Hannah, Me, Morgan, Heith, Erin, and Celeste)

Erin Fritz, our team leader:

"Although I grew up knowing Jesus, I fell away during college and it was there in Australia that I really came back to knowing Christ again and began my journey to where I am now!

Before Australia, Christianity meant following a book of rules and living a strict life, but it was there that I learned that He desires a personal RELATIONSHIP with us and I have since, been able to grow each day and gain a better understanding of who God really is and who I am in Him!  He has been so faithful, it’s so amazing, and I am incredibly thankful for all He has done for me and what He WILL do through the World Race!"

Brian Barnett

"I've always been exposed to the church, mostly Southern Baptist churches. My mother made sure we attended as children, then when I old enough to make my own decision about it, I began attending a small Baptist church in the community of Mt. Sylvan. The congregation, made up of about 100 people (mostly older folks), encouraged me to seek God on a grander scale. Their support has resonated with me all these years, so it is now that I seek work for God on The World Race."

Hannah Coulter

"In the Summer of 2009 I began to feel God directing me towards ministry in a way I'd never expereinced before. Before classes began that Fall I had the opportunity to travel to Uganda, Africa with a group from my church. It was during my time in Uganda that I finally submitted to God's leading…As for the question: "What are you doing with your life?" My answer would be..  Living for a God who has a greater plan than I could ever imagine."

Heith Daniels

"Heith, I have always been there." This is what God spoke to me during Training Camp. This is the most important moment of reality during this week. To me, this means that all the searching, seeking, and digging were not in vain; that these past few months, even though hard, were worth it. This reality, knowing that God was always there, has opened me to the revelation that if He has always been there, then He will always be there. And if God is with me then who can be against me? (Romans 8.31)"

Celeste Lombardo

"I am a hairstylist from North Carolina, am a southern girly girl, and have just caught the fever for The World Race, a heart for God's children, and a vision for advancing God's kingdom. Oh yea, and I'm falling more and more in love with Jesus everyday. I love His heart<3 I have a yearning to learn who God is, to learn His love. I'm pretty darn easy to get along with and love my friends and family VERY much!
( and my newly formed WorldRace family)"

"What it all comes down to is, I’m just a girl trying to let the love of Christ shine through my life. I want to be a beacon of hope to everyone I come into contact with. I am not content with having an ordinary life. I want to go change the world for Jesus and in turn be changed in the process!  I want to love on the broken, hold the orphans, feed the hungry, and let God reveal Himself to those who have never heard of Him through me."
