She is a whole of personality.
That is a huge understatement.
She is loud, animated, hysterical, and flat out entertaining.
I am baffled it took me six months into the Race, when we were finally paired together, to really get to know her. We bonded over her antics while chopping bamboo and our love of Greys Anatomy.

This girl is a hard worker. I saw her straight pull an entire bamboo tree down and heap it into the bond fire. By herself. And it didn't stop there, she was chopping the Thailand jungle down for hours while sweat dripped and dirt covered all her limbs. The girl didn't stop.

She is a total kid at heart. Who can't appreciate that? Her outfits and crazy morning hair never disappoint.

We went to a Thailand cultural dinner month six and Hurst was pulled up on stage. Instead of mimicking their delicate smooth Thailand dance she brought her own flair. And the crowd loved it. Hello Kathryn Gironimi. That sealed our fate as friends. I still laugh hysterially when I watch the video of that night.

As fun as Hurst is, she also has this spiritually inspiring side to her. When she worships you can see the Holy Spirit come alive in her. She truly ushers people into the presence of the Lord by doing her thing.

The girl has so much wisdom it's ridiculous. I heard how she gives feedback, which includes a word from the Lord and a verse and I was astounded.
She loves fiercely.
Better never mess with one of her friends.
Trust me, I saw her attack a scorpion one night and chop it to pieces, you would not want to MESS with her.
Hurst gets a lot of publicity as the "crazy" one on the squad. But behind the crazy hair and crazy interactions is a girl that has a serious heart for people and the Lord.
I love her to pieces. And bless her, she said that when I adopt my african babies someday she will teach me how to do their hair so it isn't nappy!
Here's the thing Hurst still needs about $3,000 to stay on the Race. So I am pleading on her behalf that ya'll go and donate to her account. Her site is jessicahurst.theworldrace.org. Any amount helps the cause. Seriously. I can't imagine the Race without her.
