Anyone who knows me knows I love Math, I love numbers, and I love planning ahead.
So naturally I have countdowns for all the big events coming up in my life.
89 Days till Graduation
114 Days till Training Camp
171 Days till I launch for the World Race
Every time I look at those numbers I get a different emotion. There are days that I am pumped to be serving the Lord in 11 different countries and then there are days that I am heartbroken to be leaving my family, friends, community, and everything I now know as normal.
Sometimes I find it hard to focus on the now, when I find myself constantly envisioning the future. From fundraising, buying gear, getting all my vaccinations, and forming relationships with my new family of 60 racers, it’s hard for me to not get excited. Don’t get me wrong, I’m thrilled to be following my heart and the path that the Lord has set before me, but I don’t want to wish away my time in the states.
Each day is a gift and I am excited for the adventures, both little and big, that life brings me as I wait for the next chapter in my life. But as I wait for this new chapter to begin, the old chapter doesn’t have to end. I have so many days before me to serve the Lord right here in my own backyard. These next 171 days are going to be amazing because I am right where the Lord wants me.
So here’s to the days of celebrating lifelong friendships, spending quality time with my family, and just simply enjoying the little things in life. Whether it’s enjoying pancakes with my best friend, cheering on my on WAHOOS, road tripping with the people that mean the most to me, or making the best of my time teaching my kiddos, I’m all in.

Allow me to find beauty in the small things
Help me trust in you always.
I have HUGE news!! Today I am waking up with a grateful heart. Today I am over 50% funded!! I only have about $800 left to raise for me to be able to leave on the race and about $8,000 for me to be able complete this mission trip. I wish I had words that could sum up how thankful I am for each and every one of my supporters. Thank you for loving me and supporting me so well.
