Well, I can honestly say that I have not raised the dead but I have tried. This morning we laid our hands on a woman that had passed away from cancer and although we did not raise her while we were there praying, we do know that the presence of God was truly there and we lifted the spirits of everyone that was near us or even in ear shot of us.  This experience definitely boosted my faith and I now know that I will have the faith to do many more things.

This past week I have been staying at an organization called KIM which stands for Kids International Ministries.  When we first arrived, we had to find beds for 80 people, which can a bit of a challenge, but we managed. Granted it is kind of hard to get around and there is stuff everywhere. I ended out on the balcony next to a small alligator and have enjoyed sleeping outside all week except when the people of the village wake up (sometime around sunrise) and then it gets somewhat noisy.

Some things that I have done this week include riding in Jeepney which is basically a bus with long sideways seats with no windows and crazy horns that pretty much can sound like anything (ours sounded like a horse, a frog, and a goat combined), visiting some waterfalls and swimming, playing with the children in the orphanage, riding on a bike with 7 people on it, prayed over the dead, and some other things.

In the morning I am off to the island of Mindanao to the other location of KIM and working in the orphanage, doing prison visits, running VBS, and other things over the next few weeks. Pray for safe travel and that God will do amazing things. Also pray that my teammates and I will continue to seek the Lord and grow in Him. Pray that my teammates and I are open for change in our selves and for the things that God will use us in great ways.
