Why do we hide from God?
Why do we lie to God?
Why do we have little faith?
Why do we limit God?
Why?
…
God knows already. He knows what you have done in the past, the present, and the future. And guess what?? He gives us His GRACE! Thank you, LORD! 😀
God is capable, powerful, King of Kings, Lord of Lords. He has no limits.
He loves us so much though that He wants us to be a part of His plan.
He wants us to be honest with Him. He loves to listen!
Here are the reactions/responses of when the Lord tells Abraham and Sarah that they are to have a child:
Abraham’s Response: “Abraham fell facedown; he laughed and said to himself, ‘Will a son be born to a man a hundred years old? Will Sarah bear a child at the age of ninety?'” {Genesis 17:17}
Sarah’s Response: “So Sarah laughs to herself as she thought, ‘After I am worn out and my master [husband] is old, will I now have this pleasure?’ Then the LORD said to Abraham, ‘Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Will I really have a child, now that I am old?’ Is anything too hard for the LORD? I will return to you at the appointed time next year and Sarah will have a son.” Sarah was afraid, so she lied and said, ‘I did not laugh.’ But he said, ‘Yes, you did laugh.'”{Genesis 18:12-15}
I often respond and feel like Abraham and Sarah when they are told that they are to conceive in a very old age.
God tells me to go do this or that, and I think, “are you sure?” I may hesitate and not fully trust in Him. It really is a silly thing.
-Why do I hesitate? -Why do I doubt?
God is greater. He promises and he never withholds His promises!
“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” {Hebrews 11:1}
“By faith Abraham, even though he was past age – and Sarah herself was barren – was enabled to become a father because he considered him faithful who had made the promise. And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.” {Hebrews 11:11-12}
“We live by faith, not by sight.” {2 Corinthians 5:7}
Our God is a God of the impossible! Nothing is too hard for Him! Let’s not limit Him!
