Funny Words & Facts:

 

While mingling with the
kiwis, I have come up with a list of words and differences that make New
Zealand quite unique!

 

Locals = Kiwi

Calories = Energy

Trash = Rubbish

Flip Flops = Jandles

Bathing Suite = Togs

Napkins = Serviettes

Friends = Mates/Blokes

Prayer Team = Enablers

Volunteers = Stewards

Cookie = Biscuit

Cokes = Fizzy Cans

Fries = Chips

High School = College

College = University

Disaster = Epic Fail                                                 New Zealand Dollar

Nice = Lovely

Very = Quite

Cool/Awesome = Sweet as

Bathroom = Toilet

Fishy/Suspicious = Dodgy

Sidewalk = Footpath

Hiking = Tramping
