Outside the camp in Matamata!

I hope this blog finds you well! From what I hear, most of you (in
Georgia) are probably sitting in your sweats in front of fireplaces looking out
the window at a winter white wonderland! On the contrary, I’m sitting outside
under a vibrant blue sky, listening to birds chirp, and enjoying the 70’s
sunshine with a light breeze! It is so pretty here in New Zealand! Everywhere I
look is like a postcard! As most of you know, I love trees, and I’ve seen some
of the most unique here…. Being at such a beautiful place definitely makes the
adjustment easier! Thank you for all the encouraging emails and blog comments!
When we were finally able to check our email I had 50+ and it made me realize
just how blessed I am to have each of you in my life!

Lauren & I at a freshwater spring!

This past week we have been at a YWAM base in Crystal Springs, Matamata
(on the North Island). We are in the country, surrounded by mountains, cows,
and vibrant beauty! God was having a great day when he pulled out his
paintbrush for New Zealand! Both squads have been here the past week doing
another training before we go out on the field! It was so good to be reunited
with everyone after bonding so closely after training camp! This week at our
launch we have done some more team building and have trained for life on the
field! God has been working on all of our hearts and I have a real sense of
peace about the following year! He has taken away any doubts and
second-thoughts that many of us were starting to have! We know that we are
called here and he has a divine and specific purpose for each of our lives. He
is already teaching me so much, and I’ve only been here a week! I have so much
to look forward to!

Yesterday we found out our ministries for the rest of the month here. We
will all be parting ways in the next day and heading to all different parts of
the country! My team is going to be ministering in Fielding & Wellington.
We are going to work a large youth conference and family conference. We will be
tenting the whole time, so wish me luck! It will be my first time sleeping in a
tent (other than in a tent in the living room with my brother when I was
7…which totally doesn’t count…lol)
