It’s been a whirlwind of a few weeks.
So much has happened and The World Race is becoming more and more of a reality.
We didn’t go home after a month on the mission field; instead we went on a 20-hour bus ride to our next country.

When we were packing up to leave for Antigua, Guatemala (where our debrief was) – it felt as if we were just packing up to go home. That’s what I am used too, anyways.

Instead, we were headed to a new country. A new month.

Before coming to the island of Roatan off of Honduras, we spent 4 days in Antigua, Guatemala.

Debrief in Antigua was a sweet time to recharge and rest before heading to our next ministry site. Our coaches, Seth and Karen Barnes, came to meet with our squad and pour life into us.

We also had a great opportunity to wander the streets of Antigua – a beautiful European style city surrounded by volcanoes.

Antigua seems like it was ages ago, though it was just over a week ago that we hopped on a bus to travel through Guatemala and across the border to Honduras. It was in Honduras that we stayed with a beautiful woman of God whom we have never met before, Nelda. We had no place to stay before catching the ferry to Roatan the next morning. Nelda, a contact of one our friends waited on the side of the road in La Ceiba, Honduras until midnight to meet up with a bunch of Americans she had never met.

We slept on her floor, a safe place to stay and a roof over our heads. The blessings from our God are endless.

The next morning we hopped on a ferry to get us to the beautiful island.

After a day of rest and rejuvenation at our new ministry location, “Friend Ships” we wandered the island before a long week of work.

We hitchhiked across the island in three different vehicles.
We spent the day swimming in the clear beautiful waters, basking in God’s creation.
God even provided us a wonderful meal given by a beautiful couple from Texas who desired to bless us in the work God has called us to on the island.

God provides. He loves.
He loves us enough to treat us as His royalty.
God, often, even spoils us.
He showed us His insurmountable love to us as we caught ride after ride hitchhiking across the island.

He showed us His love as we swam through His creation and, He even took us out to dinner through a couple that we did not even know.

His miracles are real. And as there were times when we did not even know where we were going to sleep for the night, He provided.

God cares for His children. He loves His children. Let’s not forget that He is our Father.
