The magnitude of this adventure most often overwhelms me. It causes me to lean more heavily on my Heavenly Father, as I know only He can provide what is needed for this trip. Let me tell you, this "pre-race" season has already been incredibly stretching as I daily wrestle with who is in control and why the heck He has asked me to do this.
I have been stretched to my limit many days already. I look at my finances, and wonder just how He is going to do it. But He is constantly reminding me that He is in control, not me.
I've been resting in Isaiah 43 this week.
Isaiah 43:4 says this:
Others were given in exchange for you.
I traded their lives for yours
because you are precious to Me.
You are honored, and I love you.
During this support raising process, I am reminded that I am greatly cherished and loved by God Almighty. That I am precious to God — and that He is not going to allow me to slip through the cracks. He has a greater provision for me than I could ever know. As hard as this process is, I'm thankful for it.
Even writing this post is a step of faith, I am not always great at asking for help — much less, asking for help in times of need. So here it goes…
As of right now I have nearly $2,200 raised! I am in awe of how quickly support has been coming in. I am on track according to AIM's "checkpoints", which is incredible since I started nearly 3-4 months later than the average racer!
Here is the low down on my deadlines for support raising…
July 1 — $3,500
August 15 — $6,500
End of November — $11,000
End of February — $15,500
Six months in, I need to be fully funded!
Here are some other needs…
The first, is the biggest need thus far…
1) By June 15, I need proof that I have traveler's insurance for the year… it is going to cost me nearly $400 ($400 I don't have!). If you are interested in giving to me for my insurance, it needs to come directly to me and not through my AIM account. SO… let me know if interested in giving and I can give you more details.
2) Cash for my one-way direct plane ticket to launch in September. Probably no more than $300. (If interested, contact me as instructed in need number 1).
3) Sleeping Bag Liner
4) Backpacking Towel
5) SD Memory Cards
6) Outlet Converters/Voltage Converter
7) Small First Aid Kit
Thanks to all who have already supported me! And a big thanks to those who are supporting me through prayers and sharing in excitement. Is incredible to know that there are so many people behind me in this crazy thing called The World Race.

Please contact me with any questions! I would love to hear from you!
