Hello!

My name is Emily Chant. I am from Bozeman, MT and am headed on The World Race in September 2012! I am so excited that God has lead me to be on this crazy adventure of His. A year traveling and serving God's people is truly  a dream come true — as scary and uncomfortable as it will be!

Let me tell you a bit about myself…

I grew up in a small town — Leadville, Colorado. I lived 18 years of my life in this beautiful town (the HIGHEST incoorporated city in the United States at 10,200 feet!). After high school, I made my way up north to Bozeman, Montana. I have lived in Bozeman for nearly 5 years now! Time surely does fly!

I studied at Montana State for three semesters, than transeferred to Liberty University (Online). I am continuing to work on my degree in Religion — it is taking me some time, but God loves to lead me in different directions!

I spent the last three years as an assistant director at a local youth center here in Bozeman. I love working with high school students — serving them and encouraging them in their walk with Jesus. Over the past few years, I have been to England, The Middle East and Haiti and have absolutely fallen in love with mission work!

In Haiti, God transformed my heart for the oppressed. He changed my life through the orphans and their powerful stories. I now hold this Scritpure dear to my heart,

"Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world."
James 1:27

I deeply desire to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ. I desire to be used for His glory and to further His Kingdom. I do not want to take The World Race lightly — for I know it will be incredibly challenging and stretching. I am humbled that God would give me this opportunity.

Stay tuned to see how God unfolds this crazy adventure! Thank you for all of your prayers and support!
