So we wrote letters to ourselves and a list of hopes for ourselves at launch and recently got them back I just wanted to take this opportunity to be fully transparent and let you in on what I wrote to myself just about six months ago… here it goes.

” Hello,

So you’re six months in and probably super tired at this point. Did you get sick yet? Do you want to quit yet? DON’T (momma ain’t raise no bitch) … gotta throw some humor in it.

BUCKLE UP. Keep doing the thing for Jesus in the places with the people. You are great. You are creatively knit and you’re pretty much unstoppable. When have you quit before? NEVER. So why now?

This is the time to take a breath and get that second wind. You’ve made it this far and you better be fully funded by now… that would be great.

Check in on your relationship with God. Are you taking time for him still? How are you walking with Him and growing? CONTINUE TO DO IT.

Have a great time, continue to love Jesus and love others. That’s what you love to do. You’ll be done before you know it, so don’t get tired. Don’t think you can not do it because you can. You have the Kingdom on your side.

Happy 6 months of living out of your beloved pack.

Stay blessed.

love, em.”

I read this today and thought holy cow I really know how to inspire myself. I was lifted up today to a whole new level after reading this. I am thankful that we wrote these so many months ago because it is so nice to see how much we can be our own cheerleader and how much we SHOULD be our own cheerleader. We are freaking awesome and I think we tend to tear ourselves down more than others. We tend to be our hardest critics and my new goal moving forward is to constantly encourage myself and motivate myself daily. Month one I was excited and ready to take on the World Race, halfway through I’m honestly pretty burnt out but I’m ready to finish this out strongly. Be your own cheerleader, tell yourself something nice about you. Love yourself as much as jesus does, because he loves you so very much.

followed by my list of hopes for the year… that I want to continue to work on.

Top 5 hopes.

1. To continually go deeper with the Lord and not slack off

2. To learn how to accept and give physical touch with joy in my heart.

3. To not be fearful when trying new things and to say “yes” as often as possible

4. To see the Lord meet me where I need him to be.

5. To relax this year and not live in constant fear.

Thanks for reading,

Stay blessed
