Greetings devoted blog followers! I know, I know, you were probably starting to worry about me after 2 weeks of no blogs. Not to worry, I'm alive and well and packing my bags for the final time. In a few days I will be walking on American soil.
Family Force 6 has been keeping busy in our last days on the Race. Allow me to highlight a few events with the following pictures. Enjoy!
Taking advantage of our last days together, Family Force 6 took a break from ministry to have a little fun at the bowling alley. Let's just say bowling is not our strong suit- we're mediocre at best…

Kuala Lumpur is Malaysia's captiol and known for the Petronas Twin Towers.
Spotty and I got a chance to visit them on our day off.
We slept on the floor this month in each of the three churches.
In an effort to make it more fun, I made myself a little fort.
Let's just say I'm excited to sleep in a bed when I get home!
That's right! I crashed another wedding…this time it was a Hindu wedding right up the street from where we stayed. I missed the ceremony because it was at 3 AM at the temple! It is the Hindu belief that it is good luck to marry when their god is awake and that just happens to be between 3 and 5 am. I also learned that you must have 4 people to take a picture. The guy on the left hopped in the pic to bring good luck.

Fatima was a member of the church in Ampang. Family Force 6 enjoyed getting to know her and her family (as well as benefit from some of their cooking). Here I'm pictured with her two grandsons.
The Batu Caves are a tourist attraction as well as a Hindu temple.
A few of us visited the caves at night and hiked to the top of the stairs.

The FRIM (Forest Research Institute of Malaysia) offers a jungle hike with a canopy walk. Really it's just some ladders with boards on top that are strung up in some trees- it was awesome!
Family Force 6 at Final Debrief on Pangkor Island. As a squad we have spent the last 3 days resting and reminiscing about what we have experienced in the last 11 months. It will be the last time we are all together.
Our whole squad took a boat ride together at debrief and were required to wear life jackets the entire time.
I rented a moto for $10 and scooted around the island multiple times.
It was the first time I had driven anything in 11 months!
One of the beaches on Pangkor Island that I visited while moto-ing.
Well, there you have it. Some highlights from the last 2 weeks of the Race. I've been working on a final video that highlights the best video clips from the entire Race…and I've taken a lot of videos! I was voted "Most likely to be making a video, right now" by my squad. So, stay tuned for that!
The next few days include lots and lots of travel. We will spend our final night in Kuala Lumpur at a hostel downtown, get on our flight headed back to LAX on Saturday afternoon and touch down Saturday evening (because of the change in time zones, it appears we're only in the air for a few hours but will be flying for about 20 hours total). I'll be spending a few days in LA with my Californian teammates and then flying home to Wisconsin on the 14th. More details to come…
