This past month has been incredible! When we arrived in Kathmandu, Nepal, we were greeted by a man on fire for God, with a lot of vision and a lot of plans. And we were very much a part of his plans.
We started the month with a prayer walk around a Hindu temple and home visits in Kathmandu. We then headed 12 hours southeast to a village called Urlabari, where we helped with construction on an orphanage. And by helped, I mean shoveled some dirt, moved some rocks and bricks, and roasted meat. We also spent a whole morning moving a cement mixing machine, to a spot that probably wasn't correct. Language barriers are hard.

After a week in Urlabari, we got ready for a real World Race adventure. Not really knowing what we were getting ourselves into, we started hiking, with our packs, along a river in the mountains of Nepal. 3 hours later, we had arrived in the breathtaking village Dungdunge, where we lived in a house on stilts and helped with construction on a school. And by helped, I mean moving really heavy cinder blocks from the river to the construction site, helping build a wall, clearing brush, and chasing goats.

We met some of the most beautiful people I've ever known, eaten some of the most delicious food, and seen the most wonderful views. We went electric fishing, chickens laid eggs in our beds, and I got to play the drum set at a church service in the middle of no where.

This month has been crazy, glorious, random, exhausting, radical, and exemplary. We showed up, and so did God. I've fallen in love with the people here, and I will always have a little piece of my heart in Nepal.
