Lizard soup and bread from buzzard claws was what was on the menu for supper.
After that we watched the dog chew on some bone from the bison we harvested last month and the hide has become a very nice sleepin’ mat.
We can hear the ‘yotes not far off, so we had to get all them cows inta camp.
Life’s been rough the past few weeks workin’ through the drought, but the wind feels like rain is comin’.. So we’re holdin’ out hope.

That’s what all my blogs should start out with.. Things we sit on the back porch and talk about after dinner. All the places I’ll (hopefully) get to go. People ask questions, and I don’t know all of the answers yet, but I hope to.

My papa cooks a lot of rabbit because he has a rabbit farm and I don’t particularly care for it because it has a lot of little bones.. So he always likes to make fun of me and ask me what I’m gonna eat in “those other countries” cause “you’re gonna come runnin’ back home askin’ for me to make you some rabbit!”

Then comes jokes about the heat. In Oklahoma the summers can be rough, but what about everywhere else in the world? What my papa says… “you guys complain about running 10 seconds from your car to the house. It’ll probably be a lot hotter in those other countries and what are you gonna do then?”

Someday I know I’ll be able to look back at this and laugh and give him all the answers. But for now I’m just hoping I can figure out the right way to raise the money to get to all those places.. Who knew fundraising could be so hard? Or blogging..
The first blog I wrote I sat there for a good hour just thinking and trying to figure out if what I was typing even sounded good. I have spent plenty of time reading other blogs and thinking about how awesome those people can write and how intuitive people are. Now here I am, writing about the brozos.

Here’s to hoping by the end of all of this you all will actually want to read my blogs.. A girl can dream… Right?
