Happy February everyone! I can´t believe it is already the 3rd. I remember getting accepted to the World Race and thinking it was so far away and now a month has already gone by! Our first month in Mexico is coming to an end. Right now, all 51 of us are in a town called Jerusalen for debrief. We met together yesterday morning and traveled to the waterfall called Misol-ha. I heard it was the waterfall that was on the movie, The Predator, with Arnold Swarzenager (sp?) so that´s one of its claims to fame. I never saw the movie, but it was amazing! It was so beautiful! I hope to post pictures and an article about it soon. It was a great time to just sit in the beauty of God´s creation and process the past month.
Today, we began debriefing our time as a group. It is neat to see how each person can take away something different from the same experience and what we can learn from each other. It has been a blessing to me to hear about other people´s experiences! I am still processing the month and hope to post a blog about that soon as well.
I don´t have a lot of time today, but wanted to check in with you all. We leave tomorrow for Guatemala. We are not sure exactly what we will be doing there, but know we are racing to Lake Aitatlan (sp?). It is supposed to be very beautiful. We would appreciate your prayers for safe travel and obedience to God as we travel. Thank you so much for all your prayers!
