This week I was able to witness some miracles when my team went back to visit Champamoni village. This is the little village that I mentioned in my last blog. This time when we visited the mood had changed in a much more positive way.

Last week; the day after we visited Champamoni, we received news that Mirabel and Jeremy were not doing well. Mirabel had to have an emergency C-section and Jeremy might have to be rushed down to a larger hospital in San Salvador to teat his health problems. We did not hear any other news about the family until we visited the village this week. When we arrived Mirabel’s neighbor came out to greet us she took us right over to where Jeremy was sleeping in a hammock. Mirabel and Jeremy had just returned home the day before and both of them were doing very well.

                    Mirabel and Jeremy

In talking with Mirabel, she let us know that she and Jeremy had different blood types; she is positive and he is negative. Because of this her body was trying to get rid of the baby. Though he was carried to full term, when he was born he was very sick and almost died. However, God intervened and completely healed little Jeremy. Both he and Mirabel were able to stay in the hospital in San Vicente rather then having to be transferred to the hospital in San Salvador, which is almost two hours away. It is a miracle that Jeremy is alive today and that he is so healthy. God has His hand over this little one’s life and over his entire family.

But Now thus says the Lord, he who created you, … Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, and the flame shal not consume you. … Because you are precious in my eyes, and Honored and I love you.
