This past week my team and I had the opportunity to make and deliver bags of food to families in low-income villages. We divide up into small groups and then visit homes. The bags provide a family with enough food for a week. Each time we would enter a house we would talk with the family for a while and get to know some of their stories, and then we would ask if they had any specific prayer requests. Almost all of the people that we visited had personal relationships with Jesus and wanted prayer.

After meeting with each family I would ask to take their photo so that I could continue to pray for them. These are a few of the families that we have been able to meet.

This is Mirabel and her daughter Jaylo; she is due to have her first son, Jeremy this week. A few weeks ago her husband left her for another woman. She asked for prayer for her broken heart and for the loneliness and uncertainty that she now feels. She also asked for prayer for the health of her sweet children, that Jaylo will remain in good health and that Jeremy will have a normal birth with out any complications.

While we were serving food to one family they informed us that they had a relative that needed prayer. When we walked around the house we saw Victor lying in a hammock unable to move much. Victor has debilitating arthritis in his joints, but especially in his knees.
After we prayed for Victor he told us that he could feel the joy of the Lord and that restoration was coming for his body. He believes that if God does not heal his body on this earth that he will just wait for God to take him home. He is excited for the new body that he will receive in Heaven.
Please be keeping these families and the rest of the families living in the villages of El Salvador in your prayers.
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil, for you are with me;your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23
