Sitting in the internet cafe in India, still somewhat speechless about what the Lord did through us lastnight in a small village.
We have been traveling to different villages being open and obediant to the Father's agenda. I have heard the words "healing" and "obediance" spoken over me lately.
Yesterday, we were walking in a village, and I asked the Lord to prove to me that he can use my hands to heal the sick. Little did I know, the Lord would bring a blind woman to us.
The Lord has been teaching me to serve and minister to people through touch. Whenever praying for someone to be healed, I intentionally touch the part of there body that needs healing.
We began praying over her to be healed. After praying for about ten minutes, nothing happened. Everyone began to walk off and continue through the village. I KNEW the Spirit was telling me to continue praying, to be persistant with this young girl. I ran up to my team mate,Alison, and asked if she would stay back and continue praying over this young girl with me. I knew I couldn't walk away. PERSISTANCE.
THe entire team followed me back and we began praying once again. We had the sense that the Lord wanted the children of the village to pray over her. I saw a beautiful picture of a child like faith. The children placed their hands over her eyes and began praying.
Then Christina felt the Spirit tell her to spit on her hands and place her hands over the girl's eyes. We continued praying. PERSISTANCE.
I couldn't take my hands off this girl's eyes. I knew the Lord was going to heal her. I prayed over and over "Lord, let her look me in the eyes. Let her look me in the eyes."
After praying for over thirty minutes, we stopped to see if she was healed.
Nothing appeared to happen.
Abraham, our translator, explained that she would be at the service that evening and we could pray over her again.
Before the service, I look up and see this girl walking towards us. "Lord, you've got to heal her."
We immediately began praying over her once again. I wasn't giving up. I knew the Father was able and willing to heal her.
WE PROCLAIM HEALING. THIS IS THE DAY FOR THE BLINDNESS TO LEAVE. THIS IS THE DAY FOR HEALING.
After praying for a long time, I had a peace and I knew it was time for her to open her eyes. She opened her eyes. I asked Abraham to ask her if she could see.
SHE COULD SEE! SHE WAS HEALED!!!
I was speechless. Derick and I stood there looking at each other in shock. I asked her to tell me how many fingers I was holding. She said "Three!"
Tears immediately began streaming down my face as I realized what the Lord just did.
The BLIND WILL SEE!! This is real! Our God still heals today!!! We must walk in faith that He is able. Be persistant. I'm still in shock! 🙂
These hands, they heal!! AMEN!!
