Well tomorrow is the day I have been waiting for!!!! I fly to Atlanta for World Race LAUNCH!!!!! Happy Dance, cartwheels, and backflips! Never mind, I can’t do a backflip… sad face! I am gonna take a lucky guess and say that I think tomorrow will contain an emotional few hours as I take my little sister to college and then get dropped off at the airport (my parents will be new empty nesters)! However, words can not describe how terribly stoked I am. It is so crazy how much has changed in just a year. This same week a year ago I landed Taiwan and my life was changed forever. My heart was broken in places I did not know it could break, but God restored it and redirected where I thought my future was headed. Also I met one of my best friends (a fellow missionary) in Taiwan and now God is allowing us to venture on this journey of the World Race together starting Tomorrow! My mind is seriously blown!!!!
But in the midst of all of this I had to pack (more like shove whatever I can fit into a backpack). Yes a tent, sleeping bag, whatever toiletries, as well as clothes into a bag with a 40 pound limit! Tough job…. So I have decided to take out some thoughts and yes, leave them behind for you readers 🙂

- A few years ago I had to realize that the reason I/we believers feel so broken for the world is because that is how God is wiring His children. Often I see believers working on themselves so much and not understanding when they are not seeing God dropping His jaw at them. It is not about us. I think however that God is first telling us to love Himself, but then love His people….this passage is what I am clinging too Isaiah 58:6-9
“This is the kind of fast day I’m after:
to break the chains of injustice,
get rid of exploitation in the workplace,
free the oppressed,
cancel debts.
What I’m interested in seeing you do is;
sharing your food with the hungry,
inviting the homeless poor into your homes,
putting clothes on the shivering ill-clad,
being available to your own families.
Do this and the lights will turn on,
and your lives will turn around at once.
Your righteousness will pave your way
The God of glory will secure your passage.
Then when you pray, God will answer.
You’ll call out for help and I’ll say, “Here I am.”
- Not to long ago I had a conversation with a girl and she continued to tell me that she wishes God would call her to go onto the foreign mission field. I was really excited to continue this conversation and I asked her what she was doing in our home town to make His name known. I felt like I ran directly into a brick wall when the girl told me that she was not at all interested in that, she would only want to talk about God in a different country for adventures sake… THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY AND MY HOME TOWN!!! God loves the people I am leaving behind just as much as He loves the ones I am getting to go meet. Do the work of the Lord, where ever He has placed you. Where ever you are at for the day-that is your mission field.
- Lastly, I want to leave behind a huge thanks! I am truly thankful for those who have decided to pray for me. I am humbled by the financial support that has been given to me to build the kingdom. And above all I thank God everyday for those individuals (you know who you are) who have never left my side and truly showed me throughout my life what it looks like to walk with Jesus! It is the people who make the Kingdom known where they are at, they are the reason I want to show the Kingdom to the rest of His creation. Those who have showed me what genuine love looks like, those who taught me how to forgive, as well as the definition of grace.
So here I go… 11 countries in 11 months! I am about to get my worldview changed, and I know God is gonna rock my life like an earthquake! But this is just the start- I know God has far better things to come! Wahoo let’s see what the Lord is doing around the planet!!!! The race has not even begun yet and God has already began to show me that HE is expanding my walls of faith, He is my ultimate provider, and His plans pass mine by miles! Oh I love Him!!! Peace out America, my next post will be from the Philippines!
