So one of my worst fears about going on the World Race was the possibility that I had the chance of being placed on an ALL GIRLS team. I even began to tear up when the WR staff asked if I would have a problem being placed with a team of ladies.  Well I suppose that the Lord enjoys seeing the irony of my life because that is exactly what He decided to bless me with.  And yes I said bless, because God defiantly changed this fear of mine into something that I am super excited about.

Men and women are both designed and made in the image of God.  Men have traits of God that women lack, and vise versa.  I love the idea of men and women working alongside each other as a body representing a full image of Christ. I love the men in my life that I have been able to serve alongside in ministry, and honestly most of my life the greatest friends I have ever obtained have happened to be dudes.  But I have come to the realization that God wants to put me through a season where He wants me to grow more into the woman He desires for me to be, so He is filling up my life with some Godly examples of that.

Here we come!  Team RestedNRoots- ready to impact the world in Jesus Name. No matter where we end up in this world full of crazy environments and bizarre cultures, we have our foundation in Jesus so we will be rested in Him.  These girls are a mixture of sport loving, artistic, hilarious chicas.  Not to mention they love to dance so I fit in just fine.  I am beyond the point of blessed that God once again decided to strip me of my securities so I can serve with women of the faith.

My prayer for this team is to be a united community. A sisterhood who is delighted in the word and because of that we will flourish in all that God has prepared for us.  My love for these ladies is growing daily and I seriously can not wait to be reunited with them once again.

Psalm 1

Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
    whatever they do prospers.

 Not so the wicked!
    They are like chaff
    that the wind blows away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.
