So I am so truly excited and suprised how God has moved me this passed week at Passion 2013! During just the first day of the conference I was able to have a little reunion with a dear friend of mine who happened to be one of my deans at WOLBI this past year. She had her cousin with her who actually left to venture onto the World Race today!!! It was so encouraging to talk with her, she really gave me lots of great preparation tips, and her spirit of joy was contagious! So with that extra bit of excitement that seemed to be the cherry on top of my Passion 2013 ice cream cone, however I was also so beyond the point of blessed to watch how God had moved some of the people in my family group. For those of you who don't know how Passion works they pretty much take 65,000 students and divide you into random groups of 8 people whom you have never met to do a dailey small groups. My group was complete with 3 "Emily's" and I was truly excited to be with such hearts that were so desiring to learn the word of the Lord. They prayed for the different countries of the world with me as well as various world issues such as human trafficking. The last day before we left each other for the first time I was amazed at the words they spoke to me. They proclaimed that they learned from me as I spoke and said I was wise, astonished as I was I praised the Lord that it had to be Him speaking through me, because the words from my mouth are nothing. They also gathered together a donated support for me on the race. I was so humbled that a bunch of newly met brothers and sisters did such an act of kindness to me! I love how God just gives and gives through His beloved, Oh Praise Him!
