SEX.

Got your attention now?

Well, there it is.

The one word that can make us uncomfortable.

The one word that Christians and Believers.. and most People in general are afraid to talk about.

The desires of the human flesh are endless.

As well as the excuses of why we feed into them.

In a documentary I watched recently called

“Beware of Christians” this topic came up. The documentary is focused on four college students trying to live a Christian lifestyle outside of the “American Christian Lifestyle”.

(A really good documentary by the way. I recommend it)

In the video they ask several young people what they think of

sex before marriage.

Some of their responses:

“I think it’s okay.”

“It’s good, it’s essential.

“Doesn’t matter. Today, the concept of ‘virgin’ has changed.”

(Wait.. what?!)

Some lady was even bold enough to tell one of the college guys that he should try it out..

Interesting…

So. The concept has apparently changed.

Then where do we draw the line?

 And should we?

My QUESTION.

Is there truly a difference between

LOVE and Lust.

And if so, what is it? Is it possible for a man to Lust many women, yet love another?

Or a woman, love a man.. and two weeks later love another?

(Scripture Break!)

“But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

-Matthew 5:28

(Well, if that didn’t answer those questions I don’t know what will)

Humans are messed up!

We’re selfish beings. We act in ways to help ourselves.

Now, take a deep breath.

And get ready.

Because I’m not about to try and sugar coat this.

The difference between LOVE and Lust.

Is that GOD is LOVE.

And Lust is not.

Somehow, we have come to the conclusion that anything or anyone whose physical appearance please our eyes or stirs up something within us, is worth our undivided attention.

We’re afraid of being alone.

But is all this worth our ‘LOVE’.

We should be ashamed of ourselves. Corrupting such a beautiful expression of commitment.. of promise.. of LOVE.

(Scripture Break!)

“Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.”

-Colossians 3:5

So, is it a sin to “fall in love” so easily?

So Quickly?

Is it a sin to long for someone so much, that they become our day to day desire. Falling so much “in love” that we cannot bare to be away from them and all we do day and night is think of them… dream of them…

Is it a sin to Constantly be seeking approval, attention? To fear being alone.

Is it a sin to cause others to stumble by distracting them with our ‘LOVE’?

(Scripture Break!)

3 It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, 5 not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; 6 and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. 7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.”

-1Thessalonians 4:3-7

Yeah.. it is.

If you want to “FALL IN LOVE”…

Why not FALL for GOD?

After all, He fell for you.

So today.. Thursday, November 21st, 2013 not only will bury this so called loneliness, but dig a deeper hole to throw lust in with it.

(Sorry, thought I had posted it yesterday. Guess my computer fooled me.)
