Hello my people-

It is not a mystery what prostitutes do. They sell their bodies for money. The process is simple. A man approaches a woman with the intentions of buying her body for a certain price. Once a price is settled upon, he "owns her" for the night. There are no rules or boundaries. For the night, he is boss.

Is she the victim to the man?

Who has committed a worse crime?
The man or the woman?

You know the argument, the woman has a choice. What is rarely discussed is the mans side.

Is his forced by his sexual nature?

Did the woman wish it upon herself?

If so, that would declare men subject to any sexual object he encounters.

Are men so weak that they can be labeled as victims in the situation?

I have questions. At the end of the day I decided Satan was the only one to blame. Using broken people to use other broken people, leaving both of them hurt and empty. The cycle is Satan's easiest trick.

You say its a choice but what if I argued that it was a trap.

1. In Thai culture the woman is the sole provider of the family. Her very existence and value relies on her ability to support the family. Yes, you heard me, the women support the family.

2. Most of these women have children and only a mother understands the deep longing to provide "better" for their children. This is the intention of these women, they go to the bars night after night motivated by their children's needs. These little faces keep them focused on the money and drive them to ignore the blatant sexual abuse they repeatedly experience night after night.

3. They become addicted to the money. Like most jobs, the large amounts of money keep them from leaving. Most go into the business of prostitution with the intention of working only for a few years but for most of them it becomes a life long enslavement. This addiction to money is seen in America but instead of selling ones bodies, their selling their very soul.

These women will look these men in the face and lie to them. Deceive them with the seduction of their bodies. If they could tell you the truth, they would tell you they didn't want to be there.

He is lonely. He is drunk. His relationship ended. The world told him it was ok. He is searching for love and affirmation. He is equally deceived as the woman.

This is the tragic story of a broken world.

Screw it. Screw Satan. This is not a hopeless or helpless world. I know my Jesus died for a reason and that is for me and every person involved in this business. We are a group of women who are bringing light into a dark place. Saying that victory has been won and even though we feel the darkness when walking by the bars, we know it can no longer consume us.

Satan's easiest trick is to convince people they are worthless but were calling him out on his bluff. These men and women are valuable and so we fight. We fight because regardless of what we see, we were once sinners, feeling no conviction for the destruction we were causing.

*Romans 6

There is redemption, even in a place that feels hopeless. Praise Jesus because there is nothing Satan can do to keep us out of those bars and prevent us from sharing the gospel everywhere we go!

Your fightin sista, Ellie
