God just isn’t stopping this month. He is showing himself again and again. I love my powerful God!

We spoke to another woman who had lost her husband about a year ago. She is left with a little girl, about 4 or 5 years old. She, like the previous widow we spoke with wept as we read verses and shared words of encouragement with her. We spent quite a while with her before praying over her and then leaving. I wasn’t sure if we would see her again because far too often we don’t have the opportunity to follow-up with everyone. Some tell us they will come to church and see us but very few actually do so.

The next evening we had our mid week evening service. The floor was opened to anyone to come up and share about why they loved God or how they have experienced Him. The last woman to come forward was this widow we had met the day before. She told us the story of how her husband had died after getting sick and then going to the witch doctor multiple times. He had pains moving in his stomach and when he died she got the same pains. She then sought God and accepted Him in her life and was healed from that day. She was still left without her husband.

To end her story she told us that the night before we came to her house she had a dream that lions were coming to her. The lions were coming from a faraway place and she knew in her dream that they weren’t going to hurt her. She continued to explain that these lions had bright shining (*ahem* Radiant?) faces. When she saw us walk up to her home she remembered the dream and knew that we were the people the dream was about.

So, I guess I’m a lion. Hmm…I can deal with that. That’s sounds like a pretty awesome and powerful thing to be. I can only thank God for His power within that goes before us preparing the way. We have had other people tell us about dreams and amazing things that can only be explained by God doing His work here in the hearts of the people of Tanzania.

I have been blessed beyond measure this month in very unexpected ways. Our God truly does work in mysterious ways and it has been an honor to be able to witness just a few of them.

As we end this month and head off to Uganda and our last month in Africa, I can’t even begin to think about what’s going to happen.

Please keep our entire squad in your prayers as this journey continues. Pray for safety in our travels and throughout our ministry. May God go before us, in front, behind, and in all aspects of our days. Thank you for all of your continued support through yet another month. Uganda, here we go!
