Training camp is this Thursday! It is exciting, but scary in the same regard. I have spent the last few days learning how to pack, and buying last minute gear. It has been kind of almost overwhelming but I am learning a lot. The amount of money I have spent just buying incidental packing and hygiene stuff is scary as well. All of this will go to good use though and all the little sacrifices will be worth it.
At training camp we will learn how to live in some weird circumstances like how to survive in an air port, live in our tents, and how to hike three miles with a full pack in fifty minutes. All of this is good, but tough. I will be stretched more than normal. I will need prayer for growth.
I leave on Thursday, July 7. I will come back Sunday, July 17. At camp I will meet my team. We have been a part of a group chat together, but here we will meet each other face to face. We are excited to meet each other. Please pray for unity of my squad, which is Squad H…having a name for it makes it feel a little more real. I’m nervous but can’t wait for training camp.
It is great that I have had people partner with me for my first goal, but I am still in the thick of fundraising. My coin collecting continues but has slowed a bit. I need roughly another $10,000.
