Doing a Kid’s club at the Pattaya Slums was one of the highlights of my time in Pattaya. When we arrived, we would lay a tarp on the ground, and then pull out nail clippers. The kids would line up to get thier nails cut. Sometimes, some of the kids nails were so short that we had to turn them away.
Then we would sing songs with them. Tooti-Ta and Boom-Chick-A-Boom were some of thier favorites.
After the singing there would usually be a game of some sort. My favorite was hot potatoe.
Then there was a bible story. Last week, my team preformed a Drime ( a dramatic mime to music that tells a story) showing how Jesus offers freedom from sin.
Then there was a craft. Sometimes they colored pictures that went with the story, and other times we brought out the glue. Either way, it was always fun.
Then we gave the kids Big C (like Wal-Mart) take away for dinner. In other words noodles or rice.
Here are some pictures of the beautiful kids that we worked with.
