My team has been able to do some amazing work the past two months.  We’ve given lollipops to people on the streets of Coleraine, we’ve painted houses and cleaned carpets for the gypsies of Viile Tecii, and we’ve been instruments of healing for locals and racers alike.  The funds that you have provided so generously have been instrumental in helping us bring life and love to those we’ve encountered, so I first want to thank you for your spirits of giving and the heart that you have shown for the nations.

It might be possibly to one day live in a world without currency (it’s kind of a funny concept when you think about it for long enough anyway), but I’ve done some number-crunching (and so has the AIM office), and I’m still in need of $4500 to finish the Race, $1700 of which must be in my account by the time my team leaves Croatia on October 31.

In excess of that, I can be reimbursed for about $875, which covers the cost of my insurance, US plane tickets, and vaccinations.  But right now, I’m more focused on the $1700 by the end of October.  If I fall behind on fundraising, I will be asked to take time out from ministry to raise support.  I’d love to be a blessing to my team and stay on schedule, and I’m feeling peace that God’s going to provide, but I can’t do it on my own.  If you’re feeling that tug on your heart, I encourage you to consider being a part of my race and contributing financially as you feel led.  Also, if you know someone who might be interested in supporting what my team is doing, I encourage you to refer them to this blog so they can read about the lives that God has touched through us.

We’re researching trains to Croatia right now.  I can’t wait.
