Most of you who know me/have read anything on this blog know that I love music.  Now that we’ve cleared that up, I can continue.

I’m sitting at work right now, and I just logged onto my support account to check my progress ($2785 woooo!).  I’ve got Pandora playing in the background set to my Favorite Arists station, and I’m talking to my friend Justin about how I’m actually thinking the funds that I need might actually come in (I’m a big worrier), and wouldn’t you know it, Lifehouse’s “Everything” from their debut release comes on Pandora.

For those of you who don’t know, Lifehouse was originally a Christian rock band called Bliss, but by the time of their name change and 2000 debut album, half the members had left the band, and now Jason Wade is the only remaining member of the original foursome.  Anyways, “Everything” is one of my favorite songs of theirs.  I think that musically, it perfectly embodies what a relationship with God is supposed to be like.  It starts off soft and reverent, but it continues to grow until the end is a big joyful release of any restraint on the instruments or the vocals.  It brings tears to my eyes every time.  If you don’t know the song I’m talking about, here’s the Youtube link.

It was a nice reminder that God has this.  I just need to be brave enough to trust Him.
