This second week of ministry for team Charismata was dramatically different from the first week.
This past week included so many moments. We met so many wonderful people who are open and willing to learn English and to learn about Christ, and made friends with many of them. I even learned to meringue! My team learned where we will be staying for the next 2 months. (We will be in Portoviejo, Ecuador) We met a group of people, on a Passport trip through AIM, who just left Portoviejo. Including someone who lives in Lancaster! (Shoutout to you, Ben Groff!) It sure is fun meeting someone from home when you’re in another continent!

But this week was really a period of growth for my team and myself more than anything.
As a team, we showed growth this week. We spent more time together than last week, where we laughed, ate, were confused and invested in each other. We worked through conflict and into resolutions. We talked about how we should approach each other incase conflict arises again. We addressed how we should be a safe place for everyone. We are working toward trust between everyone, and openness and honesty. We are working out a schedule for prayer for each other, for the squad and for the people whom we work with. We are working on our vulnerability.
For my own growth, I am putting into practice a great amount of patience, and humility. I am learning that how god sees people is vastly different from how I see people and that even when I don’t think I can handle being with these people, I need to see through Gods eyes. My team has also been speaking into me and through them, and my squad leaders, I know some gifts and qualities will come to the light that will change the course of my life.
I am excited for this next week of ministry, and am treasuring my time left with the entire squad.
Thank you all for your prayers for myself and my squad, and may God bless you this week! 🙂
