Hey folks,
Well, here goes nothing…a little bit about me:
My name is Liz Traylor (not to be confused with Liz Taylor), I’m 26 years old, and I live in Los Angeles, CA. I grew up in Snellville, Georgia, and I moved to California in ’99 to attend cinema school at the University of Southern California (GO TROJANS!). I like L.A. for the weather and my friends, but I will always be a southern girl at heart. Give me my grandmother’s home-cookin’, sweet tea on the porch, and football in the back yard, and I’m in heaven.
I am an outgoing, adventurous woman who is always willing to try new things. In my free time I love to travel, explore new cultures, and just spend time with friends and family. I like to go out dancing, I can knock ‘em dead at the karaoke bar, and, of course, movies are always on the agenda. I watch some TV (
LOST,
Grey’s Anatomy, and
The Office), but I am trying to read more and learn to play guitar. I play sports too: softball and tennis mainly, but I want to get back into rock climbing and other outdoor activities. Also, I am a huge Trojan football fan. College football ROCKS! The Georgia Bulldawgs will always have a place in my heart, though, and I hope my teams will play each other one day.
I have been blessed with an awesome family! My grandparents have always been a part of my life, and even though my parents are divorced, I have never lacked love and support. I have an older brother, James, who is a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps. He flies Harrier jets, and he is currently stationed in Iraq. Go Bro! I also have a younger half-brother, Matthew, and multiple step-siblings…Jason, Jordan, Brittan, Rebecca, you’re the best! Oh, and I can’t forget our two family dogs, Georgia and Dallas, both named for football teams. Go figure!
I graduated college in the fall of 2002 and started working as a production assistant on various films and tv shows. Then, in June of ’03, I landed a job with a casting director. I currently work in casting for reality TV shows such as
America’s Next Top Model; my job is to hunt down contestants and convince people they want to be on television. It is a great gig, and I get to meet hundreds of people from all across the country. But lately, I have realized that God is calling me to something bigger and better. I am ready to discover my true passion in life.
I grew up in the church, but I have never really been “on-fire” for God…until now. Over the last year, God has given me a true heart for Him. I have begun to grasp the love and grace that He has always offered but I had never fully accepted. I do not know where God is leading, but with Jesus as my guide, I am learning each day to walk in faith and to rely solely on Him.
Now, I want to live the FULL life to which God is calling me. I want to change the world and make a difference in the lives of others. I want to expereince the adventure of a life surrendered to Christ, to get off of the sidelines, and get in the game. I have no idea what the road looks like, but I am ready to sieze God’s reins, and hold on tight for the journey.
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.” -1 Corinthians 2:9
