I recently met with another squad mate, My 4th squad mate I’ve had the privilege of spending quality time with before Training Camp in 2 weeks, I repeat 2 weeks!
I was reminded once again, how small the world is when we discovered our connections to the tiny town of Nacogdoches, Texas.
We sat together, drinking our coffee, and spoke about how strange the World Race is, and how strange our lives are in this season.
But it’s good, so good.
Our friends are buying homes, buying “big girl and boy” furniture, and starting careers.
We both just bought a tent, our home for the next year.
We talked about Training Camp which is coming up so soon, and all the mystery that the 10 days in Georgia holds. I’ve heard all the rumors, the fish head soup, “accidentally” losing our luggage for a few days, waking us up at 5 a.m. to run 4 miles. Whatever happens over those 10 days, it will be sure to prepare for the real mission, launch!
71 days, 71 days until I set off and won’t return for nearly a year.
yes, I am…
- excited
- nervous
- anxious
- happy
- scared
- & probably any other emotion you can think of/I have probably been asked at some point this year
But no, I am not ready, I don’t think you can every truly be ready for something like this. But, I put my faith in the one who put the stars and the moon in the sky. He placed the World Race on my heart over 4 years ago, and it’s almost time for me to act on that tug on my heart I’ve felt these past 4 years.
My last blog I updated you on my financial status, and I am thrilled to announce that I am now 83% funded and am only $2,746 from being FULLY FUNDED! How incredible is that?
If you are reading this, I sit for my state boards in a few days to become a Registered Nurse, and I appreciate all prayers for peace and confidence!
xoxo
