When I put this picture on my magnets to send out to supporters I never thought I’d get such a response back. It seems like everyone asks this same question,
“What were you telling them!?”
In all honesty, I wish I could say I was telling them about Jesus, or the coolest story about my childhood. I wish I was telling them that I knew Obama, their fellow Kenyan, and that he was doing a great job leading America… I wish I was telling them something great about my friends and family at home. I wish I was telling them something profound that was really worth receiving this much attention for.
However I had this much attention because it turns out this was the first time these kids have ever seen an “asian” person. They called me “China” and said that I was unlike anybody they’ve ever seen (I’m filipino and korean and white for those really wondering). These kids even went the extra length to add that they had never seen anyone with so much hair on their arms! REALLY!?
All humor aside, this was our first day at the I.D.P. camps and the moment these people stole my heart. I haven’t been the same ever since. So please consider, joining me, “China”, as I embark on this journey to bring freedom into these camps in Jesus name.
I can’t do any of this without your support. In fact, I’m still looking for monthly ministry partners in prayer and finances. If you would like to be apart, click the support me tab on the left. Type in my name, and…
let’s go get it together for God’s Kingdom!
