I stumbled across this picture and fell in love with it.
But it also served as a reminder of Ephesians 5:1-2.
“Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.“
Every Saturday at I.D.P. our leader Blair would have this little girl named Esther with him. (Pictured above)
Wherever he went, she followed.
Whatever he did, she did too.
She tried her best to always be by his side.
It was a reminder to me, of how much I strive to have child-like faith. Like the gutsy time as a kid I touched the stove even though my mom told me not to because it was hot. Or the time as a little shy daughter I would actually want to cling on super tight to my dad at a family function. Now, i’d rather stay away and socialize. As a “dearly loved child” and with this child-like faith, I want to follow Jesus wherever He leads me. I also strongly desire to imitate the way He loved people and served them. SO, Let’s Be Imitators.
