Today we walked around a Buddhist temple and I could feel the oppression. With monkeys terrorizing the tourists and beggars at every corner, I didn’t know what to do. I prayed and prayed, but nothing and nobody stuck out to me. I thought I needed to go to everyone I met and tell them that Jesus is the true God or I would not have don’t what I was supposed to.
While I was praying to God, “What do you want me to do?” I saw out of nowhere bits of pink in a mix of browns and greens. My heart started to beat faster as I got closer to see if my eyes were deceiving me or not. “Is that a cherry blossom tree?!” I got closer and was filled with so much joy! “A cherry blossom tree!!” I love cherry blossoms, they’re my favorite flower! Whenever I envision my wedding I would see cherry blossoms everywhere!
So you can imagine my surprise at the sight of three random cherry trees on our walk around the temple. I suddenly felt this immense love from my bridegroom, and I just felt Him say,“Just be my bride.” Its that simple. I don’t need to make a grand gesture, I just need to show people Jesus through me and my actions. I may not even have to say anything, just listen or even play soccer and they will see the Lord in me.
