Dear Reader,
In Matthew 25:40 we are so fearfully held accountable for not embracing the opportunity to help others. When someone was thirsty did we give them a drink? If someone was cold did we offer them our coat? If someone was sick did we look after them? Did you choose to visit a prisoner? None of these tasks are easy. They bare a certain burden, a hopelessness at times….. until you offer love. You offer love by extending a helping hand. The slightest glimpse of hope can impact a life and reroute the outcome of their choices in the most positive way.
I believe we all have a flickering light in our hearts that was placed there to provide light in a specific darkness. Your little light can bring the greatest clarity to a person who has been in the dark for too long. That small flicker could bring enough light to lead a person to the door handle that will exit them out of that dark room.
The World Race waits for people, like me, to volunteer to go into the dark and bring light. Jesus was that light to me. He led me out of a confusing darkness, and I was set free from so many sins. I can’t even begin to describe how free I felt when Jesus came into my life. He lifted my burdens and since then I want to so passionately bring His light into what seems like hopeless situations.
I volunteered to go to 11 different countries in 11 months. We get to spend 1 month in each country and provide all the help we can. We get to teach and show love to orphans, witness to prostitutes and those forced into human trafficking, we will also help rebuild communities who suffered loss in natural catastrophes, and aid the poverty stricken. All grounds for sowing seeds of hope and love.
I can’t do this on my own. I need your seed. I need to raise $17,000.00. It’s a big number, I know. Thats why I hope that you will give whatever amount is possible for you to give. No amount is too small. That will unite your light with my light and perhaps turn a flicker in a blazing fire.
