Sitting here in a hostel in Nicaragua. The World Race has officially begun. So far the race has been nothing short of how the the alumni racers described it as. Our route changed, spent over 6 hours on bus,5 hour plane ride, fellow racer got left behind, sleeping with no AC,have not brushed my teeth changed clothes or showered in 48 hours, and its not even been a full 24 hours since I left the U.S.A. so this is only the beginning . Crazy. It is all good though. I would not change of any this. This is all out of my my element, for those of you that know me pretty well im very organized and orderly. I have a peace about everything. I know that the Lord is with me and my squad. Knowing that He is with us gives me a peace that passes all understanding. Im struggling with being present and not jumping into the future. I am already thinking about the beauty im going to see in asia and africa, and im not even in my first country.
Rewind a bit. A little about launch. WOW. launch was awesome! Got to spend the day in D.C. with my squad leader Robby, Sam Francart, who is on another WR route in July, and the one and only Dips! The day was hot! Over 100 degrees. We just explored and hung out in the city. Ended the day with Robby Riggs, we had a great talk about how the Lord is moving in our lives and what is going on. Blessed that the Lord placed this man in my life. I have a lot i can learn from him. The 2nd day in D.C. i got to meet up with my fellow team leaders! It was awesome, just prayed and worshiped with them. Day 3 of launch came and the WHOLE squad shows up! ahh man was that exciting to see everyone for the first time since training camp. The conclusion to launch was my favorite, we got to do a debrief. Had our squad parents, leaders, and squad coordinator there. As well as my whole team. We talked about our vision for the year and how we are wanting to grow. The Lord truly blessed me with my team! Everyone adds their own element to the team. Team Kina, is bringing His KINGDOM to earth. Get ready world!
