We just finished visiting the other two teams.  I thought our travel for the month would be finished… but more about that at the end.  This past week, the four of us visited the remaining ministry sites.  We spent a few days at El Shaddai Childrens Home where my team and two other teams are serving and then a few days with Day Three and The Janes in Mpaka where they are serving at a Care Point.

My team is in the hills of Swaziland.  They have the most gorgeous view ever.  When I got there I was a little jealous of them because I hadn’t been there the whole time – I hadn’t gotten to see nearly as many sunsets as they have.  Here’s an example:

The three teams at El Shaddai are working with the babies, playing with the school-aged children, and doing some manual labor.  Most of the men are digging a hole for a septic tank, and the others are digging out a playground structure and swings that need to be moved to a new location on the property.  They are all working super hard and there’s tons for them to do.

When we left to head for Mpaka, all four of us were very sad to leave this beautiful mountain.  I had a little bit of peace assuming that I’d be back!

The two teams that are in Mpaka are working with a local pastor that has partnered with Adventures in Missions to serve a Care Point.  AIM currently has around 40 Care Points that they supply with food for children.  The Care Points also provide schooling and immunizations for the kids.

The teams are teaching the children this month, as well as doing some physical labor around the Care Point.  The afternoon is a time of play.  We all got to go back to the Care Point after lunch and hang out with the kids for a couple of hours.  They have a play structure and use concrete bricks as toys!

We left Mpaka yesterday and went our separate directions.  As Erin and I headed back to our ministry we got a call that two of our girls that were in the hospital for Malaria had gotten worse.  We were almost back to El Shaddai.  We had to head out this morning for the hospital where the girls are staying.  Looks as if hospital ministry is calling my name once again!

Please pray for the remainder of this month.  Pray that these two girls with malaria receive whole and complete healing.  Pray that all of their medical treatment goes smoothly and that the doctors and nurses will have divine wisdom as to how to treat their cases.  Pray for the four ministries that we are working with this month – that they will thrive and be financially, spiritually, physically, and emotionally blessed.  Pray especially for the hosts of each team and that we bring a spirit of revitalization to them and their ministry!
