I arrived in Uganda two days ago. Erin and I stayed in Kenya a few extra days to spend time with K Squad leaders and unwind a bit. We took the overnight bus to Uganda with a team leader, Allyson, that stayed behind with us in Kenya. Her team was robbed in Kenya and Adventures thought they needed a bit of a break. We met up with her team at Nile River Explorers River Camp where they were resting. It is beautiful here!
There's a large deck that overlooks the Nile. As I sat here this morning, I am reminded about all the history of this river. Moses floating down the river all alone, God using Moses to turn the ENTIRE river to blood. It's mind-blowing. This river is huge, and deep. It's unbelievable that the entire thing could be turned to blood.
We leave for ministry tomorrow. It's been a wonderful time of rest and rejuvenation with Allyson's team. I'll be coming back here at the end of the month for debrief. I'm so excited. This place is like paradise without waves!
