That's "Welcome to Guatemala" in English for those of you who aren't gifted with Spanish (I'm right there with you, I had to Google the translation!).

We arrived in Guatemala a few days ago.  We arrived at night, everyone made it through customs without a problem and everyone had their bag!  Praise the Lord!  We met one of our contacts, Marco (who made the lovely sign above and held it at the airport), and he had our buses ready and waiting.  We loaded all 64 of us on to one school bus and one 15-passenger van.  We got the bus and van all loaded up and as you can probably imagine it was a little cramped….

We then went to Annabelle's house in Guatemala city where she graciously prepared dinner for us and let us stay the night in her awesome house!  We woke up on Sunday morning and had an incredibly powerful worship session on the roof – yes, I said roof.

We were littlerally shouting God's name FROM THE ROOFTOPS!

Worshiping God on the rooftop of a house in Guatemala – who would've thought I'd ever be here?  The passion and love for God that these young men and women have is inspirational.  It is so great to be surronded by people who have a genuine relationship for God and want to serve him by spreading his name to the nations!

The second day in Guatemala we traveled to our ministry host location, Santa Cruz del Quiche.  It is a beautiful little town!  Below is a picture of our tents all set up in our little tent village!

We start ministry tomorrow – so more to come soon!  We are going to be going to the prison and helping them with projects and ministering to the mostly innocent people that are jailed there.
