Hello! So in my last blog I mentioned my team has been working on a special project…well now it’s time I let you in on what we’ve been up to (:
Introducing (dun dun dun dun!) THE CASITA:
This is COVI’s Psychology Center. Yes, you heard me correctly. This is where the kids come to open up about their lives and receive help from the psychologists at COVI. But as you may have noticed, it kind of looks like an old creepy doll house. It’s not exactly the place I’d want to go to spend time talking about all my problems. Soooo this is our new FIXER UPPER. It’s like my dream of becoming Joanna Gaines is finally coming true! Our goal is to make this Psychology Center somewhere the kids can feel safe. We want it to be warm and inviting – and right now it’s the opposite. This project is uniting my two passions: children and psychology, so it’s really dear to my heart. The psychologists at COVI do what I hope to do someday, but I can’t imagine this being where I ask kids to open up about such difficult and tender topics.
