We had the pleasure to work with a YWAM, Youth With A Mission, school last month. They are also a Missions organization that does similar things that we do. They have been around a lot longer so The World Race patterns with them to do ministry in different countries.

So we, Ryan, Micah, and I got to work at a school. It wasn’t a official school but their goal was to teach kids who families didn’t care about them. Kids from a slumish area of town came to this place and were loved and accepted.

We walk in after our first orientation day and the kids are singing VBS/children’s Church songs. We all get a little chuckle because of what they are singing sounds so simple and funny. Plus they are super into to it.

But the words they are singing are truth. They sang, ” Who is the King of the jungle? Who is the King of the sea? Who is the King of the Universe? I tell you J E S U S, Yes, He is the King of Me!”

These kids were having fun and learning about The Gospel. When was the last time you did that? To often we get stuck in thinking we have to be strict in following God.

We don’t though. He tells us to have a childlike spirit in scripture. He wants us to find joy in him. He encourages us to taste and see that he is good.

Jesus so deeply wants to be with everyone on this planet. But he wants you more than anyone else. Today go and seek him. He will talk with you if you listen. He is referred to as a still small voice.

To me is like a gut knowing it’s him when he talks to me. Sometimes it’s verbal, through scripture, people giving a encouragement, or something I see. I even feel his presence when I am doing things I love, like teaching, speaking, or reading.

Just go and seek him today. Whatever that looks like, just go and see what The Lord wants to say.
