“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. “
These past two weeks the Lord has shown me how faithful He continues to be in my life. I recently got offered the opportunity of a lifetime; to serve in the 10/40 window!
What is the 10/40 window you might ask? Well, it is the rectangular area of North Africa, the Middle East and Asia ranging from 10 degrees north and 40 degrees north latitude. This window encompasses the majority of the world’s Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists and consisting of the highest concentrations of unreached peoples.
One of my fears during this entire process has been the constant question, “Am I just doing this so I can go to cool countries and take fun pictures, or am I actually doing this to serve the Lord?” This expedition route completely removes that fear. Some of the countries I can’t even pronounce yet! This new expedition is teaching me that with every moment, I continue to pray that the Lord will use me during these next few months. I have been overwhelmed with the ways He has orchestrated my life; the verse Jeremiah 29:11 continues to come to mind, and I hope and pray that you will be encouraged to continuously pray for the 10/40 window and my team!
