As we are away from home this Thanksgiving, we are overwhelmed by all the things that we are thankful for. God has placed us in Honduras for this Thanksgiving, and although it is bittersweet, we are confident that God is moving and that we are exactly where He wants us. Without further ado, here is a very short list which can not even come close to capturing all of the amazing people and things that God has blessed us with, but we do have a few things that stand out:
-We are SO thankful for our loving family and friends who have supported us throughout our lives, especially on this journey, and who are so invested in both of us.
-We are thankful for the beauty we are surrounded by in Central America.
-We are thankful for the opportunity to share God’s love with those who need it the most.
-We are thankful for how God has already started moving and changing lives (and we’re only in month 2!!)
-We are thankful for the eight (our group has expanded!) boys from Los Pinos that are always smiling, always hugging, and always loving with a childlike love that we could all learn from.
-We are thankful for the occasional lukewarm shower (which hasn’t happened in over a week!)
-We are thankful for FaceTime
-We are thankful for the beautiful people of Central America that have become family and loved us in the short time we have known them.
-We are thankful for our team, Crash of Love, and the relationships we are developing with each one of them.
-We are thankful for our amazing squad leaders, Abby, Lauren, and Tim, who have invested in us and believe in the work God is doing through us.
-We are thankful for the growth that is taking place in our lives and in our marriage.
-We are thankful for our mosquito net (which now has a gigantic hole in it from the wood of our bunk bed. No worries, we brought two!!)
-We are thankful for iPod alone time
-We are SO thankful for the wonderful God we serve and the works that He is doing in us!!
-We are SO thankful!
We love y’all, and we miss y’all so much!
