The last few Monday’s I have been working from the Adventures in Missions office. It has slowly become one of my favorite days of the week because of the uniqueness of the workspace.
We don’t start out our work week like a normal office but instead we start with worship. Each Monday we create space for our day to start with thanksgiving, celebration, and surrender.
And no Monday is ever the same, especially during the summer. There are almost always nomads and various travelers from all parts of the states in this place. Alumni racers visiting for a few days, missionaries and friends met overseas, and even teams of participants going out for short term summer trips. The Lord meets us in a unique way each Monday and brings a renewal with his presence.
It truly is the best way to start the week.
Lately I have been working on tasks for the World Race Fusion which is a route we are launching next January that will not only include Americans but also Asians and Europeans. My role will mainly involve the European participants and applicants along with my friend Kayla Dawnn. On Monday’s I have been a part of group calls with the other leaders of this program discussing the great things God wants to do through this multi-cultural squad.
So far this Monday has been especially sweet and I am not just talking about the ice cream & cupcakes that Kayla Dawnn and I purchased. I am also adding in the beauty of worship this morning. The joy of reconnecting with other friends who are about to leave for the nations as well. And lastly, the overwhelming and abundant support I have received from friends and family.
People keep letting me know how excited and eager they are to follow me on my journey to England. I have roughly 5 people already committed to supporting me monthly. I am overwhelmed by the blessings.
I also have a new way for supporters to get involved and that is what I would like to call “boxing day.” Basically, you buy a box according to the number in the box. As the boxes fill up I will be keeping track of which ones are purchased by whom. At the end I will have a random drawing and one winner will receive a special gift from me.
