We thought we were spending September in Romania… true to World Race style, things have changed!  Our whole squad will fly from Dublin to Bucharest, Romania on Sept 1st. 2 teams will stay there for ministry and the other 4 will leave on an overnight train Sept 3rd for Moldova. Where the HEC is Moldova you ask? I did too… Here it is:

Moldova is a landlocked country between Romania and Ukraine.

Moldova is the poorest country in Europe; most families live on less than $2 per day.

The tourism focus is indisputably the country’s wine industry.

Most of Moldova was part of Romania before World War II, and two-thirds of Moldovans speak Romanian.

Our team and team Petra will be working with a ministry that runs a transitional home. This ministry takes older orphans that are being released to the streets because they’re too old, and saves them from lives of crime and prostitution by inviting them into family style living that shows Christ’s love! The sex slave and human trafficking industry in eastern Europe is exploding! Were are going to be spending our month educating and empowering a generation and showing them that theres another way… more details to come as they’re released to us!
