Africa!! Zambia!!! Livingstone!!!! As I walked off the plane from Dubai, I finally felt heat for the first time in 2 months. And there was a lot of it. When 30 people of the squad crammed on a 30 person bus with 3 locals for 4 hours then stopped to camp for the night. Then the next day jumped back on for another 5 to our destination!! It was so exciting to see all the new people we would be working with and the ministry we will have.
The first night we got bit up by mosquitoes and flys bothered us. But the second night, we set up tents over the mattress. The best thing ever. We are working at nursing home in the mornings, where I was able to get some carpentry in by putting up ceilings! What a great time. Then in the afternoon we play with kids and tell them bible story’s and sing. It has been only a week, and I feel so welcomed here.
