Dear friends and family,

First of all I want to thank you once again for coming alongside me over this past year as I followed God around the world.  Your prayers and support have meant the world to me.  I’m writing now to update you on where God’s taking me next on my journey with Him, and to share with you an opportunity to remain involved in the process!

Since coming home I’ve been living in Omaha, working to clear out my existing debts.  I’m very excited about continuing missions work overseas for the next few years if possible, but I want to make sure I’m leaving on God’s time and not mine.  I’ll be stateside, probably still in Omaha, until He releases me to return to Honduras, but I hope to be leaving in less than a year.  I have a financial goal set that should allow me to both clear my debts at home and support my time in Honduras.

In the short term however, I have another opportunity to work with Adventures In Missions.  I’ve really enjoyed working with them on the World Race, and I’m very excited to have another chance to do so.  This summer I’ll be working with Adventures Youth, and I’ll be stationed in Puerto Rico.  I’ll be working with three other amazing people as we facilitate week-long missions trips for highschool-aged youth from all over.  The youth groups will be coming down to do missions work: VBS, sports camps, and community outreach opportunities, and we’re going to be helping them and communicating with our local contacts in Puerto Rico to make sure things go smoothly.  It’s a great opportunity for the teens to get some hands-on experience actually leading things, and not just sitting around while the support staff does all the work.  We’ll be helping them be missionaries instead of spectators, and I’m very excited about that!

Of course, even for support staff, a summer missions trip is not free – I need to raise $500 to be able to go.  I know that’s small potatoes compared to what I had to raise last year for the World Race, but it’s still a very important amount of money that I don’t have!  I don’t want to do this on my own.  In fact, I can’t do it on my own!  While I was on the World Race I learned how incredibly important it is to have people back home praying for me and financially supporting me – so now I’m asking for your help for the next season of my walk with God.  If God’s laid it on your heart to help me, whether that be financially or with prayer, (or even sending me cookies!) please join with me for the summer!

Online donations directly to AIM on my behalf can be made via the “Support Me!” link on the left-hand side of the page, or by clicking here (select “Unknown” for the program dropdown box).

I hope to keep you all updated with my adventures in Puerto Rico – see you soon!
